We carried out staff training at Kawaguchiko for three days (November 18th to November 20th) under the theme of “Team building” .
On the first day we had our company meeting and BBQ (Churrasco Night).
Representatives from each division gave a project update and all staff members gave their self introduction. Representative director Takehuchi spoke about the vision and the outlook for the future for the company.
After finishing the company meeting, on towards the BBQ (Churrasco Night!!!).
On the second day, we did a “team building exercise” in the morning where everybody got the chance to exercise their bodies at Forest Adventure Fuji.
We did a “Team cooking contest” at night.
Following a set theme using a limited amount of ingredients, each team worked hard together to create some tasty cuisine.
The winning team got awarded!!!
The last day we went to Kaizouji, where we experienced zazen (seated Zen meditation, usually in a cross-legged position), the making of a handwritten copy of a sutra and the Japanese green tea ceremony.
Not only for the staff from foreign countries, but also for the Japanese staff it was a really valuable experience.
Lastly, we took a group photo in front of the temple.
It was a training trip without any big problems, one which raised our awareness in various ways!
